I see my Profile icon, and a bell for notifications in the top right. @XfinityBenjaminM I am using a computer and I see no “Direct Message” icon. This morning, again, my email was sent without problems until around 10am, when I started getting this. Can you tell me a little more about what’s happening? We recommend checking that your incoming and outgoing server settings match Comcast’s recommended settings and ensuring that SSL/TLS is enabled.
- I am still trying to get to my comcast.net Email account.

Have you went through the security settings to make sure your account is able to be accessed through the third party program? After several msg exchanges with tech support, we established that I was sending using Port 25 for SMTP. My business Outlook account through Microsoft 365 is totally fine on all of my laptops, IPhone and IPad. Email works fine on that combination – sends and rcvs all day with no problems.Seems like the problem is related to Win11 and/or Outlook/Office 2000. While a lot of problems are caused by password issues, the problem I reported is not password related. This happens even when the password has not been changed and where the correct password is being used.
I am having problems logging into Xfinity email using outlook. I can log on to the Xfinity site and see mail fine, so it’s not my password. I was on the phone with customer service and the person stated that since I was no longer using Comcast as my ISP, that they will no longer support a 3 party email program. I had to open a browser window for the Xfinity email connect, copy them to a new message there, and send them. My Outlook email on my Comcast.net account has been mostly refusing to send for the past week.
The fact that using a VPN allowed Thunderbird to connect suggests there could be an issue with how your connection is being recognized, possibly related to IP reputation or security filtering. It sounds like you’ve taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and I appreciate you sharing those details. Seems to be there on my personal account.
Unable to Access Comcast Email Accounts using Outlook
I have a separate Microsoft 365 business outlook email account (not through Comcast) that works fine on the same https://chickenroadapp.in/ exact laptop. “Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or ISP for additional assistance.” Outlook errors out with message as to login, but know password is fine. We would not be able to isolate that issue being that you’re using an international ISPs service to access our webpage whereas the international mobile carrier allows access to your email. There appears to be some setting in the comcast system that will not allow users to login in via international WiFi even with a VPN.

If the issue persists without a VPN, it may help to clear saved credentials, update your email client to the latest version, and try logging in again. I am unable to login to Comcast email using Thunderbird or Outlook. The issue may be with how Outlook is set up to access your email. Since you’re able to access your email via the website, it confirms that your account is active and functioning correctly.
The only way it works (temporarily) if you login through private/incognito mode. Instead, type “Comcast Business” thereAs you are typing a drop-down list appears. In the ‘To’ line, type “Comcast Business” there. Is Comcast looking into this as a host system issue?
SOLVED Using CPL Magic Lan 2 (Devolo – up to 2400 Mbit/s) – connection seems capped to 100 Mbit /s ?
The problem is on the Xfinity end of the issue. Well, I thought I was the only one with email problems and it looks like there’s lots of people having trouble. Wow what an example of non service!
Since then, whenever I try to log in again, I keep getting an error message that just says “Something happened, please try again” every time. (same profile worked in the US, then stopped working when landing in Germany, then Italy.) The only thing that worked logging into the accounts using my cell phone while using cell data. @user_6a8bb4 I think you need to define “using comcast as your ISP”. I am getting an email stating that I must upgrade my email today so it can continue sending and receiving email. I have been in the computer programming business for 40 years, and I know that, if email works on my computer and then suddenly stops working, it isn’t my computer that caused it. Listing possible things to try is a bit pointless when the email send is WORKING all morning and then stops. ESMTP server temporarily not available is a Comcast issue.
In addition, my wife’s Outlook account on the same Laptop and Desktop continued to work normally. The second message is likely caused by the first message. I have posted several times that it works in the morning and then stops working around 10am, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. Whatever problems my Outlook was happening, Microsoft did something to cause them, and then fixed the problem.
